Over the last few years there has been an influx of new villagers often with young families - here are the current (May 2022) number of villagers:
• 55 children and young adults (excluding looked after grandchildren and other honarary members of the village)
• 184 adults (excluding the Manor House)
• 239 villagers in total
• 91 households
The village marquee and event awning are both available to hire by villagers for use within the village – and hopefully a PA system very soon

If you have a landline, you will be migrating to a digital service sooner or later – some in the village already have. This means that you will plug your phone into your broadband router instead of your phone socket on the wall. BT call this Digital Voice.

Within the village there are thriving groups that meet regularly and hold activities and social events: church, choir, WI, village hall, whist, St Hilary Forum, yoga, pilates, walking, hedgerow cut and clear, etc. And, of course, there's the Bush Inn.
