The weeping birch tree outside the village hall looked stunning at Easter when locals hung their Easter wishes on the tree, particularly as it was a very difficult time as we were confined to our homes – the St Hilary community spirit shone brighter than ever.
So we thought that it would be good to do it again for Christmas! We are inviting you to hang your festive greetings on the tree over the weekend of Saturday or Sunday 28-29 November …. and if you are feeling creative why not hang a decoration or two as well!
Do be aware though, that the weather at Easter was exceptionally dry, sunny and warm. Unfortunately we aren’t able to guarantee such good weather at this time of year so you will need to make sure that you wrap your message in plastic or cellophane to protect it from the elements.
We will collate the messages at the end of the day on Sunday 29 November and circulate them to everyone on 1 December
