A cheerful story in the midst of some gloomy times! It took a couple of people with a good idea to energise a whole village to do some good for others. Well done Monica Dennis and Caroline Neudegg. So many lovely things locally made with profits going to local foodbanks. Lewis did his bit by making choc fairy cakes. Good day all round! It was a lovely afternoon! X

That is mightily fantastic! I do realise what a huge amount of work went into organising this lovely event and it most certainly paid off financially and in terms of generating that wonderful community atmosphere which is such a characteristic of St Hilary. Well done fantastic foragers! ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿฅญ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿฅ”๐Ÿ† Hugs

That amount raised is amazing ! The village green looked so busy with so many customers so early on. It was great to chat to so many villagers we knew and now we wonder when we can do that again in these strange times. Thank you for all your hard work .... it was all wonderful !!  Sorry I went the wrong way via the bunting and Terry blew the whistle!

I was just on the point of writing to thank you for all of your hard work. we had a lovely day as did the attendees. The Gods smiled on you with the weather and holding off lockdown just long enough. Another of my Grandmother's sayings was "Your reward will be great in heaven because God knows it is coming on earth"!! which i think may well be too true in your case. She lived to be 108 and was still in her own home! She was raised as a farmer who taught me to tickle a pig behind its ears to calm it down, how to kill a chicken and how to make cider. All of which have come in, surprisingly handy. She was my Guru.

Well I nearly sold out at the St Hilary Produce Fair but I have a few pieces left on Etsy! It was a fantastic day organised by an amazing group of villagers...... I had better get back in the studio quick! Not only did you support a charity and some small businesses and the Bush (it was packed) but you brought the community together and ensured people had a thoroughly lovely day with some yummy goodies to take home. Well done Monica, youโ€™re a star.

Here I am at today at St Hilaryโ€™s produce market. A terrific event and a great chance to get fresh air and lovely food too. Itโ€™s such a beautiful village and we enjoyed buying some homemade jam,had a lovely coffee and a sit in the autumn sunshine. Everything was so well organised and safely spaced out and I even squeezed in a quick sketch of the scene. Thanks so much to the organisers (and my lovely friend Monica ) for putting it on. Hi Caroline and Monica
I am delighted to hear the event was so successful and it is great to hear that so much money was raised for such important causes. It is clear you both put a huge amount of time and effort into organising the event, and it is lovely to see community based events bringing people together. Kind regards, Nick Jones, VoG Council
