A Village Celebration of Winter's Eve (Sunday, 2 December 2018)

 
The Winter’s Eve programme is now finalised (all subject of course to change!).
 
The acts which will be performing in the village hall from 4.30pm to 6pm include:
- Acoustic guitar duet
- Cornet
- Drama
- Family choir
- Fantasy reading
- A surprise
- Flute
- Musical duet
- Musical dance routine
- Peace poem
- Performance poems
- Soliloquy
If you would like to take part please let us know and we’ll add you to the list.
 
Mulled wine, mulled cider, tea, coffee, mince pies, cakes and seasonal crafts will be available in the village hall.
 
Children’s activities, which will be taking place in the church from about 3pm to 4pm, include:
- Willow wand making
- Crafts
- Garland making
- Games
In the church, also from 3pm to 4pm, will be a series of animated seasonal films which will be shown on a loop:
- Blue Christmas
- Krampus
- Mother Christmas
- The Christmas Cat
 
 After the children’s activities in the church, the children will have a sunset wassail from the church, making a grand entrance in the hall about 4.15pm. (This will be weather dependent).
 
The day's activities will close with a winter warming curry (6.30pm) and a Winter's Eve quiz (8pm) at the Bush Inn.
 
The net proceeds from the event will be distributed equally amongst the village based community organisations.
