Cycle for Dave (15 October 2016)

The 4th Annual Cycle for Dave is on Saturday, 15 October. The 50 mile sponsored ride is in memory of David Evans of The Granary, St Hilary who died in October 2012 of acute myeloid leukaemia.  It's organised by David's friends and work colleagues together with Andy and Liz of The Bush, in order to raise funds for research to find a cure for blood cancers.   Blood cancers such as leukaemia and lymphoma take the lives of 14,000 people every year (too many of them children and young adults) – more than breast cancer or prostate cancer – yet there is no government funding for research.
If you would like to sponsor the team, sponsorship forms are available in the Bush or on the notice board at the Village Hall.  Alternatively, donations may be made on line at justgiving.
