Japanese knotweed (11 June 2015)

japaneseknotweed We’ve been asked to point out that a clump of Japanese knotweed has been spotted growing on the outskirts of the village – on the road down to St Mary Church on the right hand side just before the sign for the village. The Vale Council has been informed and they say they will spray it in the autumn.

Villagers might want to be vigilant and keep an eye on their own gardens and associated verges. Here’s a link to the RHS website with information about Japanese knotweed.  And here's a PCA leaflet.
