The charity bike ride "40 Miles for Dave" is on Saturday 11 October, starting from the Bush at 10am. The 40 mile rideis for serious cyclists and there is a 10 mile option for the less athletic.
The purpose of the event is to raise money for research into blood cancers and has been organised by friends of David Evans, of the Granary, who died of Leukaemia in October 2012.
Andy from the Bush, who is a keen cyclist, has planned the routes and is generously providing sustenance for the participants.
Even if you do not have a bike, please come along and cheer the riders on their way in the morning or welcome them back around lunchtime.
There are no sponsorship forms but if anyone feels they would like to make a donation, this can be done on line (www.justgiving.com/RideForDave/) and there will be a bucket on the bar in the Bush for spare change.
