The activities begin at 3pm in the Church with films and children’s activities. The films are suitable for adults who can enjoy watching both them and the children having fun. The children’s crafts and games are suitable for all ages, though u4s should have adult supervision.
For those of you who want to generate some heat for Winter’s Eve, Paula is holding a Salsa dance class in the Hall from 3.45pm to 4.15pm.
Weather permitting, at 4.30pm the children will wassail from the Church to the Hall singing songs and carrying lanterns that they will have made earlier.
Mulled alcohol, mince pies and coffee will be available in the Hall.
The performances – which include music, recitals, songs and dance – will begin in the Hall at around 4.45pm. Currently there are 12 acts in the programme. If you would like to take part, please let Terry know as soon as possible.
Activities in the Hall will wind down by about 6pm.
The focus will then be on the Bush Inn, where a festive curry will be available from 6.30pm. (A vegetarian curry will be available. Please let Terry know in advance if you’d like the vegetarian option as the Bush needs to know).
The final activity will be the Sunday Quiz at 8pm in the Bush which will be a Winter’s Eve Special. The quiz will finish by 10pm.
The activities in the Church and Hall are free of charge – donations will be welcomed (suggested £5 for adults/£10 for families)
Proceeds will be distributed to the Church, Village Hall and St Hilary Forum (Village Christmas lights, telephone box and 3Cs).
