The newly adopted St Hilary telephone box is being used to commemorate the centenary of the First World War with information about those from the village who lost their lives and those who returned to rebuild their lives following the traumas they had experienced. There is also information about one of the houses in the village being used as an auxiliary hospital where wounded soldiers came to convalesce. The display is finished off with garlands of felt red poppies each side of the door.
