Supporting the Cowbridge WW1 commemorations (August 2017)

Can you sew?
Would you like to help to make a quilt to remember?
Click on the read more link below for more information.

To support the Cowbridge WW1 commemorations over 2014/2018, a group of sewing enthusiasts are planning to make a quilt to remember all those from Cowbridge, Llanblethian and Aberthin who have died in conflict from 1914 to the present day.

The completed quilt will be displayed in Cowbridge on Remembrance Day 2018.

In order to complete our mission we need the help of members of the community who can sew.
We need your help with embroidering the names of those who lost their lives onto small panels of fabric which will form the main body of the quilt.

You don't have to be expert – simple stitch is all we need.

We will be running sewing sessions between 1.30pm and 4.30pm on Friday 13th & Thursday 26th October at the Lesser Hall, Town Hall, Cowbridge.
