St Hilary Produce Market: Sunday, 8 October

fruitforaging  St Hilary Foragers Need You!
On Sunday 8 October we will, once again, be holding the St Hilary produce market in the village hall.
It has proved to be a popular event and one that many villagers contribute to in one way or another by:
  •  donating surplus home grown fruit and vegetables
  • making chutneys, cakes, puddings, jams, soups, apple juice, etc from the donated fruit
  • buying the produce

Last year we gathered apples, blackberries, crab apples, plums, marrows, rhubarb, leeks, potatoes, etc. - all gathered from the village and used to make some tasty produce to sell - and as a result raised a substantial amount of money for village funds.

So, this is advance notice that we will be on the hunt for anything surplus to your requirements. Please contact Monica or Caroline - see below.

Best wishes

Spring is in the air and there is a flurry of activity to revive our gardens ready for those balmy summer days to come! So, following last year's successful event, we are holding another plant sale but this time at Ffynnon Wen (because the hall is a polling station on that day) from 10am to 1pm on Thursday, 8 June.

There's no need to throw away your surplus plants - just pot and save them for the sale. We will be in touch nearer the date with a reminder.
